The XXXIV Annual Meeting of the Finnish Economic Association will be held in Vaasa on February 9–10, 2012. Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of economics are welcome. The plenary lecture will be given by Professor Per Krusell from Stockholm University. The Eino H. Laurila national income medal for 2012 will be presented at the conference.

Submission deadline

Abstracts of the proposed papers should be submitted by December 16, 2011 using the submission form on the Association's web page.

Proposals for complete sessions should be emailed by the proposed session organiser to the Association’s secretary directly ( Sähköpostiosoite on suojattu roskapostiohjelmia vastaan, Javascript-tuen tulee olla päällä nähdäksesi osoitteen ). Abstracts of the papers for proposed sessions should also be submitted by December 16, 2011 using the submission form on the Association's web page.

Accepted papers

Complete versions of accepted papers should be emailed to the Association’s secretary on January 20, 2012 at the latest. The secretary will distribute the papers to the speakers, commentators and the session chairs.

Participation fee

The participation fee is 115 euros for all participants, and it includes the Finnish Economic Association membership for the year 2012. Participants must make and pay for their own travel and accommodation arrangements (for additional information on travel and accommodation, please contact Sähköpostiosoite on suojattu roskapostiohjelmia vastaan, Javascript-tuen tulee olla päällä nähdäksesi osoitteen ). The Association can provide limited financial assistance for doctoral students who don't have outside funding.
